Welcome to The Hunger Games Season 3. If you have any questions please ask your hosts, Caesar Flickerman or Coriolanus Snow, in Messenger.
The last TWO players remaining in the game will enter a final battle room where you both will be stripped back to 15 battle points each and will face off in a final battle for the crown of Hunger Games S3.
Game Format
Each phase (Day) will run for 2-hrs starting at 8pm and ending at 10pm AEST, unless otherwise specified.
In each phase (Day) you will have to submit Movement & Battle Orders form, due by 11pm that same night.
Movements
1 – Movement Orders are submitted via a specific online form each night.
NOTE: There is an example battle round in the form.
2 – Each Movement consists of three moves (steps), unless the Hosts specify otherwise.
3 – Each individual step may only be taken in a single direction, either: North, South, East or West.
4 – There are NO diagonal moves such as south-east, north-west.
Example:
If you wish to move northward you may select to move in this combination:
First Step – NORTH
Second Step – WEST
Third Step – NORTH
Warning
You must keep track of where you are on the map for yourself because the Hosts will NOT give you any help or hints! (You are on your own, Tributes, so pay attention to your steps.)
There is an Electric fence surrounding the area, if you walk into it you get stunned and lose the remainder of your moves that particular Phase (Day) and you also lose 1-HP.
Battles
If your steps have you stopping on a tile where another tribute has also landed, you will be pitted in battle against one another.
If there are only two of you on the tile, you will have one battle. If there are five Tributes there, you will have five battles and therefore will need to submit five Battle Forms.
Each Battle Form will carry your name, the name of the player you are battling and how you wish to battle in the six bouts that make up a battle round.
In the game you begin with 15 Battle Points (15BP) and for each battle you win, you gain an additional point (+1bp) making you stronger for the next battle
No BP is awarded in a tied battle.
How to battle
A battle round with another tribute is made up of six bouts. Each player starts the games with 15 Battle Points (BP). Using your 15-BP you need to nominate how many points you will use in each of the six bouts. You must split your 15 Battle Points across the six bouts by use of any numbers between 0 – 15.
Each of the six bouts in the battle carry points for winning. The player who earns the most points across the six bouts will win the battle.
Use this link for the Battle Form to submit your battle orders.
NOTE: There is an example battle in the form.
Weapons
There are several weapons within the arena. Details about these will be provided when and if you find them.
You can only hold ONE weapon at a time and will be automatically upgraded if you find a stronger weapon.
You CAN’T pass weapons from one player to another.
Communication
During the course of this game you cannot make any private chats yourself nor communicate to somebody about the game outside the specific game chats, and this includes your district partner, unless you are sharing the same tile. Each tribute that you share a tile with will be part of the tile chat group created by the Hosts in Messenger. Everyone on the same tile will share the exact same chat.
Each player will also have a direct chat that includes both Hosts, Caesar Flickerman and Coriolanus Snow, Â in order to be able to ask them questions directly and to be informed of your battle results and who you will be battling next.
The Arena
The arena is made up of a 9 x 9 grid map where the numbers run down the left margin and letter across the top margin.
Different tiles hold different treasures, or different hazards, and may also bring you into contact with other Tributes whom you must then battle.
It is up to each tribute to keep tabs on where you are and what is where on the grid.
Keeping Healthy
You will begin the game with 30 Health Points (30-HP)
Your Health (HP) will drop every time you lose a battle by the amount you lost in the Battle.
If you lose a battle by 2-pts you lose 2-HP, if you lose a battle by 12-pts you lose 12-HP.
The winner of the battle does NOT lose any Health.
Once you lose Health (HP) you can’t get it back, so win those battles!
